Leave Quantity at 1 – make menu choices for 1st guest and press ADD TO BASKET. THEN (leaving Quantity at 1) make menu choices for 2nd guest and press ADD TO BASKET. Repeat as necessary.

This year’s Laying-up Supper will be held at our usual venue, The Old Rectory, North Walsham Road, Crostwick NR12 7BG on Saturday 16th November 2024, please arrive at 7pm for 7.30pm. Unfortunately we have had to raise the price again this year to £28.00 per person which includes a gratuity.

Our speaker will be our Patron Caroline Jarrold and her subject is “The History of Jarrolds”.

There will be the usual raffle.

Menu choices this year are:

Main Course

  • Pan seared breast of chicken served with a creamy bacon and tarragon sauce.
  • Medallions of pork loin roasted with sweet apple and shallots served with a cider cream and chive mashed potato.
  • Cod cacciatore, cod cooked with tomatoes, olives, white wine and rosemary.
  • Oven baked peppers stuffed with Mediterranean vegetable rice topped with melted cheese.


  • Fresh fruit medley
  • Sticky toffee apple crumble served with custard.
  • Profiteroles smothered in warm chocolate sauce, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

There will be a bar so drinks may be ordered as required. If you require wine for the meal
please order at the bar beforehand. Numbers will again be limited to 110 and we will be sitting
at individual round tables, each seating up to 10.
